#1000Kindness by Adam Quang

A project sending out a ripple effect of kindness,

helping create eternal peace for the people of the world.

Observations in recent years from living in the urban jungle,

Adam has noticed that we are more connected via social media and the Internet now than ever before, but

we have lost our human connection to each other and are farther apart emotionally.

People are more cynical, loosing trust in our social fabric and politicians, as in the Canadian *Senate scandal in 2012 and “the Canadian Donald Trump” **Rob Ford in 2013, to the USA presidency of ***Donald John Trump 2016 – 2020. The concept of compassion and social graces no longer exist in many people’s thinking. A culture of selfishness has developed where the acceptance of terms “Selfies” and “Karen” have become a relevance to be referenced.

* The Canadian Senate expenses scandal was a controversy concerning the unrelated expense claims of several Canadian senators which began in late 2012 and ended in 2016. ( More … )

** 2013, Ford admitted to smoking crack cocaine “probably in one of my drunken stupors. ( More … )

*** Donald Trump scandal ( More … )

As an artist with multi-modal art practices and theoretical contextualization, Adam wants to design and motivate people to ask questions in a new and positive way – creating cultural work that builds community by linking art and life together in performance and visual art.

1,000 Acts of Kindness is a project that intersects reality, by collecting and reassembling our kindness and compassion as a collective into a repertoire while touching the back-to-basics in all of us; our “humanity.”

#1000Kindness can be a frozen isolation or a moving constructed experience within our popular culture. It can provoke and skew perspectives of willing participants, and reveal one’s relationship to reality or be transformative in numerous ways, opening up the viewer’s mind to new possibilities.
